Britt is a true jill-of-all-trades having worked the past 15 years in varying industries spanning civil service, insurance, healthcare, project management, and wastewater treatment, among others. She has cultivated the skills and knowledge to deliver extraordinary solutions to ordinary problems with her dual masters’ degrees in Business Administration and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is also Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified and well-versed in Agile Scrum methodology because of her work with product development teams.
Her experience as a management consultant for firms in Wisconsin and Illinois has made her adept at solving problems that involve the marriage of people and process - making process more efficient so that people can be more productive. In 2021, she became the founder and CEO of Geno.Me, a biotech startup that allows people to monetize their health data while advancing medical research outcomes.
Over the course of her career, she’s spoken at events for the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition, Pennsylvania’s Innovation Network Gathering, Albany’s Leadership Forum Community, and more. In 2021, she won Wisconsin’s Most Influential Black Leader award, and most recently received the Biz Times Medias’ Entrepreneurship Award of 2023. She released her autobiography ‘Thinning of the Blood’ in 2022, detailing the life and lessons learned over the past three decades of her life.
